Five Hours, Three Returns
Someone asked me last week what the free week is really for. It is a fair question. It is free, it is five hours, and free things usually come with a catch you find in week two.
So here is the plain answer. It is an investment, and the thing you are invested in is you. Not software. Not a subscription. You.
Let me show you the three places that investment comes back.
One: it comes back to you
The skill is not "learn a tool." Tools change every six months and chasing them is exhausting.
The actual skill is being able to describe your own work clearly enough that something else could follow it. That is a thinking skill, it transfers to every tool that comes after this one, and once you have it, nobody can take it back. It is yours.
And you already have most of it. If you can explain a task to a new hire, you can build an agent. That is genuinely the whole requirement. No code, no technical background, no math you forgot in 2004.
What changes at your desk is that the parts of the week you quietly dread stop being yours. What changes in the room is bigger. You become the person in your firm, your network, your association chapter who actually knows how this works, at a moment when almost nobody does. You cannot buy that reputation. You can build it in a week.
If you want to start there, the next free week is here: https://humansplusagents.ai/legacy-sbc-aia
Two: it comes back to your staff
This is the part almost nobody talks about, and I think it is the most important of the three.
Your team already knows AI is coming. They read the same headlines you do. If you say nothing about it, silence is not neutral, it reads as a threat, and the sharpest people on your team quietly start looking around. Not because they want to leave. Because nobody told them they had a future here.
Teaching them is the loudest possible signal that you plan to keep them.
And the work itself gets better. Be honest about what a junior does with three hours of categorizing transactions: they are not learning to be an accountant. They are learning to be tired. Give that work to an agent and give the junior the review, the exceptions, the odd one out, the client conversation. That is how a senior gets made, and it happens years earlier than it used to.
So bring someone with you. It costs nothing to register a second person, and two people who did the week together will actually build something, because one of them will ask the other on Tuesday whether they did the homework. That is worth more than any course.
Three: it comes back to your future
There are two doors here and both of them are open right now.
The first is your own practice. Capacity that does not cost you per hour. An agent you build once runs on the eleventh client the way it ran on the first, in March the way it ran in September. In my own practice that is how I doubled my client load without adding staff. Not by grinding harder. I built the work once and let it run, and I have built more than two hundred agents since.
The second door is the one people miss. Businesses are paying real money right now for help implementing this, and almost nobody can do it. That is not a prediction, it is the current state of the market, and it will not stay open forever. The people who learn this in the next few months are the ones who get to charge for it. You do not need to leave your firm to take that work. Plenty of people are doing both.
And here is the part that makes it an investment rather than an expense. An agent you build in September is still working for you next March, while you sleep, without an invoice. Very little else you learn this year does that.
What it actually is
One hour a day for five days. Live at 3 PM CST. Every session is recorded, and you keep the recordings, but you do have to register to get them, because replays only go to people who signed up.
No card. Nothing is for sale in the room.
The next weeks are:
- September 7 to 11 (register by Friday September 4)
- September 14 to 18 (register by Friday September 11)
- September 28 to October 2 (register by Friday September 25)

The honest math
Five hours. One week of your calendar, at an hour a day, against a skill that is going to shape the next decade of this profession and is still rare enough today to be worth money.
I have never seen a return like that on anything else I have spent a week on.
If you would rather taste it before you commit the week, take a free agent and run it on one real piece of your work. No card, nothing renews: https://aiaccounting.legacysbc.com/claim-agent
And the free community is open to any practitioner, no cost and no pitch, if you just want to be around people working this out: https://aiaccounting.legacysbc.com/community
You are the asset. Everything else is just tooling.
AI does the typing. You make the judgment calls.
